Phew what a week!
After a few frantic phone calls and emails earlier in the week, Aubrey was booked to perform at the 5 star St David's Hotel in Cardiff bay for a little known band called 'Take That' on Tuesday 14th June 2011. The band were staying at the hotel during the Cardiff leg of their sell out 'Progress' tour and it was decided that Aubrey would perform at both the pre-show and after show parties.
The party didn't finish until around 2am and just as Aubrey was leaving he was asked to return for another performance the following night!
Security in and around the hotel was very tight although the hotel was fully booked with Take That fans who had the pleasure of seeing the band after their show in the bar.
The following evening Aubrey didn't leave the bar until gone 3am - which was an early night compared to Jason Orange who didn't leave until 5.30am!
The band showed their appreciation by clapping wildly at the end of Aubrey's set - even after he'd slipped in a Take That song after their management team had asked him not to perform any songs by the band... naughty!

If that wan't enough excitement on Friday 17th June at the same venue, Aubrey turned up for his regular Friday night performance to find that Simon Cowell's team were in residence filming his new TV show called 'Red or Black'. The team included well known presenters 'Ant & Dec'.
At the end of the evening, one half of the Geordie duo, Ant McPartlin came up to Aubrey and said; "Aubrey, Cheers Pal that was great entertainment!".
We've always said that Aubrey's got talent...

Sir Terry took to the microphone and declared; "Aubrey Parsons is Dynamite!

Friday the 13th of May 2011 turned out not to be an unlucky day for Aubrey. Whilst performing at his weekly Friday residency at The Five Star St David's Hotel and Spa in Cardiff bay, Aubrey looked up to see legendary rock guitarist Brian May watching him sing. Mr. May was in Cardiff as part of the Anthem's tour with Kelly Ellis.
Just before the guitar hero left for his concert he thanked Aubrey for his performance saying; "Brilliant - Good luck with your future!"
Rock On!

It's the morning after the night before. Aubrey performed at the postponed 2010 Ryder Cup Winners party last night at the Celtic Manor in Newport.
Over 500 of the the sporting worlds greatest were in attendance - including 'Monty' and his army! As the evening progressed Sir Terry Matthews (who didn't leave the side of the stage during Aubrey's
performances) grabbed Aubrey and said; "Is this a party or what? You are fantastic!). Aubrey had to beg to leave the stage at around 3.00 A.M. after both the crowd, the directors at the hotel, and
members of the Welsh Assembly refused to let him stop singing becuase they were having too much of a good time!!! More pictures of the event can be seen by clicking here.

June 20th 2010
Fathers Day 2010 proved to be quite an exciting one for Aubrey this year.
Aubrey was singing at St David's hotel in Cardiff to celebrate Fathers Day when Al Green and Michael McDonald walked into the hotel.
Mr Green initially thought he could hear a CD of one of his songs and it wasn't until he looked into the bar and saw Aubrey singing that he realised his mistake;
"I walked into the hotel and thought I could hear a CD playing of one of my songs, then I walked into the bar and there was this guy singing and it was Aubrey - I was so surprised. Man what a
singer!!"
Aubrey was actually singing 'Let's stay together' when Al walked in - You couldn't make it up!!!

It seems that St David's hotel is the scene of many a rock and roll reunion (see other entries below) as last night Aubrey once again encountered some rock and roll legends.
Aubrey had been performing at the wedding of Tracy and Jason in the downstairs function suite of St David's Hotel. As Aubrey was packing away he bumped into his old friends The Sterephonics who had
just performed to a rather excited sell out crowd at the Cardiff City Stadium. It could have been a long night, but a rather tired Aubrey admited defeat and left the party before it had even started
and went home to bed!
May 2010
Aubrey would like it to be know that on no occasion will he talk to the press about any of the artists that he has come into contact with.
So please stop calling!
March 6th 2010
Aubrey returned to his old residency at the St. David's Hotel & Spa in Cardiff last night. He was stunned when Gary Rossington and Johnny Van Zant from the band Lynyrd Skynyrd (who were staying
in the hotel and performing in the CIA) came to talk to him and told him; 'Man we really dig your music and your voice!'. Aubrey was speechless for one brief moment in his life... The band later
returned to the hotel to watch Aubrey perform his rendition of 'Sweet Home Alabama'. Rock and Roll!!!

A Wonderful letter!
We have a received a wonderful thank you letter from the mother of the bride from a recent wedding where Aubrey supplied the entertainment.
It starts; "I didn't know where to start in telling you how much we appreciated your participation in Emma and Dan's wedding at Fonmon last week..."
July 16th 2009 - Thursday - Charlotte Church
We've just finished posting some pictures of Aubrey performing with Charlotte Church last week (Check them out in the 'Pictures' section of the web site). Charlotte has often joined Aubrey on stage
for an impromptu sing along since she first saw him performing at her parents pub in Cardiff when she was just 15. Charlotte Church performed with Aubrey over the weekend. Charlotte asked if she
could join Aubrey on stage and after she had performed a few tracks on her own (including Crazy chick) they both dueted; "I've had the time of my life." made famous from the film 'Dirty Dancing' and
'Time to say goodbye.' which has previously been performed by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman.
May 21st 2009 Thursday
Aubrey has just finished two days filming for new BBC series of 'Merlin' - look out for him as a rather nasty looking bandit in the Autumn...
November 22nd 2008 - Torchwood wrap party
Last night Aubrey performed and exclusive gig for the actors, writers and crew of the BBC television hit Sci-Fi Doctor Who spin-off 'Torchwood'. The event was held amongst some quite strict security
at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff.
"I received a phone call from the executive producer a few weeks before. I have has some small supporting artist rolls in both Torchwood and Dr. Who, and initially I thought they were going to offer
me a major roll... It turned out she had seen me at a wedding earlier in the year and thought I would be ideal for the party - I was really chuffed to be asked." said Aubrey.
Just before Aubrey performed lead actor John Barrowman jumped up on stage and called out to the assembled crowd to 'Suck my c**c!' which was nice. The Growler was later joined on stage by various
members of the crew and cast throughout the evening - all of whom proved they are as good at drinking and singing as they are acting!
