In addition to his work as a wedding singer and corporate entertainer, Aubrey is also the resident singer at the Five Star, St David's Hotel in Cardiff where he performs most Friday evenings in the 'Tempus at Tides Bar'. He also makes regular appearances at 'Merlin's Bar' in the Five Star Celtic Manor resort near Newport in South Wales. He regularly performs for the hotel's Special Events Team which has included appearances at The 2010 Ryder Cup, Polo at the Manor and a number of celebrity parties.

 

"My life has revolved around music. Even as a child my father’s record collection was more important to me than the playground. The heroes of my youth were Prince and Stevie Wonder, who back then came into my life through the medium of vinyl or tape cassette! Today, my backing music is stored on a laptop which contains over 5500 backing tracks. This way I can fill the dance floor 24/7 with any style of music; Soul, Swing, Pop, Rock, Jazz, songs from the musicals, Opera, current chart hits. In fact, you name it, I'll sing it.

 

Owing to my many years working at live events, I have developed a knack of looking at a room full of people and performing songs that I know will get them up out of their seats and onto the dance floor.

Under the posts events management - Aubrey has performed at many testimonial and charity fund raising events to some of the bigges sporting legends in the country including Gareth Edwards, Mervyn Davies, Tom Shanklin, JPR Williams to name but a few.

Where did it begin?
Aubrey started learning guitar when he was seven years old and was performing in bands by the time he was thirteen. Unlike many of today's fast-track 'singers', Aubrey has worked his way up the ladder, experiencing every possible style of music, venue and audience along the way. So he knows a thing or two about making every live performance count! Aubrey joined his first 'proper' band when he was seventeen and as well as his work as a solo singer he still performs with that very same band - The Watchmen.

He is a larger than life vocalist who controls every show with his awe-inspiring voice and in-between-song banter. Aubrey has entertained audiences nationwide numerous prestigious events and has performed live to audiences of over 8.5 million viewers on a number of national TV shows; but he is equally at home in a small pub, club, hotel, and has even been known to perform in a few living-rooms across the UK!

In addition to his amazing voice, Aubrey is also an actor; in addition to his West End performances, he can frequently be seen on television shows such as Gavin and Stacey, Casualty, Merlin, Dr. Who, Torchwood and in a number of recent cinema releases including 'The Duchess', Mr. Nice and Made in Dagenham'.
